Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian/American media critic who is also a popular public speaking event organizer. Feminist Frequency hosts videos, commentaries and analysis of how popular culture depicts women. Anita Sarkeesian is an award-winning Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as blogger. Feminist Frequency is an educational site for non-profit organizations that investigates representations of women in narratives from popular culture. In addition, she works to highlight the problems surrounding the targeted and sexist attack on women and others of minority groups in the online world, she is committed to breaking down stereotypes that are in the pop culture. Holding a master's degree in political and social thought at York University Sarkeesian is also a much sought-after public speaker and she has delivered talks at the TEDxWomen XOXO festival as well as at the United Nations' Broadband Working Group on Gender. Feminist Frequency was launched in the year 2009 by Sarkeesian. university student who has been interested in issues related to gender and feminism since a considerable period of time. Someone who hoped to create a web series that examined the gender representation of video games was targeted in the internet campaign. She was not deterred by the assault, actually, it just reinforced her drive to become a media critic and feminist.
